Lead DevOps Engineer (Core development Systems) – Grenoble area, France

Leading edge European technology company who specialises in hardware and software acceleration solutions for high performance computing are looking for an experienced and proactive lead devops engineer to take ownership of the core devops environment assisting in the software development workflow. 

The role will be technically leading a small team through a full review and modernisation of the organisations integration and development workflows bringing in a more standardised and efficient structure. You will need a solid background in strategy, maintenance and evolution of engineering systems and the broader ecosystem that supports the development, testing and implementation of the software development team. You will have experience leading a scalable, efficient CI / CD environment within complex systems ideally with knowledge of hardware and embedded elements.  This will include experience of Jenkins, GitLab CI or equivalent with experience of source code management (Git, Gerrit). You will have solid Linux system administration experience coupled with scripting and automation (Python, Bash, Ruby or Groovy). Your experience will include containerisation tools such as Docker and Kubernetes and you will have experience of Grafana, Prometheus and elements such as Jira for reporting. Experience of Embedded software solutions would be of benefit.

The role requires someone with excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with teams throughout the organisation. You will be proactive and enthusiastic about delivering the most effective solutions across the environment. They offer the opportunity to drive a real modernisation and change to their current environment with real ownership. The role is based in Grenoble area and they require someone to be in the office 3 days a week. They offer a highly technical and leading edge company dealing with challenging technical issues. 

They are looking at a salary range of €65 – 75000 + Excellent benefits
